So why are we fans of the Fury? For some its an age related preference. Age? Thats right, in studies done on MMORPGS such as WoW, EQ, DDO, AOC, etc.. it was found that the majority of players who played alliance (aka the good guys) the average age range was 14-19. On the other hand the majority of players who chose Fury (aka the bad guys) the average age range was 20-35. So generally speaking players who choose the Fury are more mature and reliable than their alliance counterparts. This is a prime factor for a raiding guild where leadership, cooridination and planning are essential.
For others the Fury races offer a more "fantasy" feel in an MMORPG setting. A big hulking Orc or blue skinned Blood Drak look drastically different than their alliance counterparts who all look very much "Human". The Fury allows one to play something different than the everyday vanilla.
Stat and ability speaking , the alliance and Fury are pretty well balanced. Below is a list of the allowable weapons by race. As you can see there once was a difference concerning axes and daggers, but these days its an even playing field. In the end only you can decide if you wish to join the alliance or the Fury.

Below is the fury banner. This is the standard flown with pride on the Fury battlefields.
The best way to really get to know who and what the Fury are is to read the Lorebook. Here it is, enjoy.
